LRE’s Guide to Quidnet, Pocomo & Wauwinet

Located on the northeastern side of the island, this area is known for its waterfront homes, beautiful neighborhoods and calm beaches. 

What to do

Sesachacha Pond is a great place for families. There are no lifeguards but the pond is quiet and protected.

Quidnet Beach is a short walk over the dunes in a quiet neighborhood. The beach faces east and has soft, fine sand.

Coatue can only be accessed by car or boat with a beach permit. It has amazing views of the top point of Nantucket and is a much needed day trip. 

Pocomo Beach is a popular spot for water sports as it is located on the harbors side.

Great Point can only be accessed by car with a permit. It is a great place to get away from it all. Located around the lighthouse it offers amazing beaches. 

 

Where to eat

Toppers is a five-star restaurant that offers upscale East Coast dishes while dining along the Nantucket Bay. It has amazing views and is a great place to enjoy a good meal.
