Marla Ceeley Lamb Fundraiser

Friday, 11/15, 5pm @ Fairgrounds Restaurant

Spend your Friday evening at Fairgrounds Restaurant supporting the Marla Ceeley Lamb Fund. The fund helps off-set travel costs for islanders who have to travel off-island to receive their cancer treatments. This annual fundraiser has been supporting the cause for 27 years! Stop by for a night of music, a silent & live auction, a 50/50 raffle, and light appetizers for a suggest donation of $20. We’ll see you there!

Moby Dick Marathon

Starts Saturday 11/16, 10am @ Nantucket Atheneum

Thar she blows! The great Herman Melville turns 200 this year and Nantucketers are celebrating with a continuous reading of classic Moby Dick. Starting bright and early on Saturday and lasting into Sunday, you listen to the great tale of the chase of the illusive white whale. Island favorite Nat Philbrick is kicking off the festivities by reading chapter 1. The reading will last all day and night between the Nantucket Atheneum and the Whaling Museum. Join for all or part of this great tale.

Trash Olympics
