Spreading Holiday Cheer – Non-Profit Spotlight: Inky Santa Toy Drive

Who They Are

Since 1988, the Inky Santa Toy Drive has made the holidays a joyful time for many island kids. Started by local firefighter Tom Holden and his wife Betsy, the toy drive has bought toys for children when parents and guardians are unable to do so around the holidays. This great non-profit understands that while the holidays are a celebratory time, they can also bring stress and other worries. This fund helps to make sure that the island children enjoy their holidays and celebrate the magic of the holiday season.

Events

Gingerbread Decorating Party

Saturday 11/30, 5pm @ 45 Surfside

After you’ve recovered from your Thanksgiving dinners, head to 45 Surfside on Monday evening for a night of gingerbread decorating to support Inky Santa Toy Drive. Decorate cookies, enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar. Funds raised at the event will benefit Inky Santa. Tickets available here.

Gift Wrapping Day

Sunday 12/15, 9am to 11am @ Bartlett’s Farm

Many hands make light work! There is nothing like a beautifully wrapped present on Christmas morning. Bring your friends and get in the holiday spirit by wrapping up the gifts for the lucky children who benefit from the Inky Santa Toy Drive.

Can’t make either of these events but still want to support Inky Santa? Donate here.
