LRE’s Guide to ACK Stroll 2022

Ready, set, STROLL! We are so excited to be celebrating yet another Nantucket Christmas Stroll. If you like holiday shopping, ugly Christmas sweaters, eating at some of the island’s best restaurants, and getting in the holiday spirit, then ACK Stroll is for you. Below is a list of not-to-miss events for this fun weekend:


December 2nd – December 31st NHA Festival of Trees
The Nantucket Whaling Museum is transformed into a winter wonderland with the Festival of Trees. Throughout the month of December, stop by this NHA favorite to see community crafted trees by local non-profit groups, artisans, children, businesses, and more! The Festival of Trees Preview Party is December 1st.

Take in a Holiday Production
Theatre Workshop of Nantucket and the White Heron Theatre both have adaptations of Charles’ Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ playing this weekend – what better way to get in the holiday spirit than with a local play! Break a leg to all the actors, we can’t wait to cheer you on!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3rd:

10AM – 2PM Yuletide Fair
Nantucket Lighthouse School’s Yuletide Fair is an artisan market featuring heirloom quality gifts, a bake sale, and holiday craft activities for children. It is located at Sherburne Hall, 11 Cente Street.

10AM – 3PM Santa’s Village
Christmas Market complete with delicious bites and beverages, handcrafted gifts & merchandise sold by Nantucket Chamber of Commerce members and non-profit organizations. Located at the foot of Main Street.

10AM – 3PM “People’s Choice Award” Storefront & Tree Decorating Contest
Take a stroll through Town to admire the decorated trees and storefronts. Place your vote for your favorite in the annual “People’s Choice Award”. Stop by the Chamber information table at the Shop Santa’s Village Market for informantion on participating trees and Storefronts.

10AM – 4PM Main Street Stage Entertainment
Stop by the stage on Main Street to enjoy eclectic performances by Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, The Boys and Girls Club, Susan J. Berman, NCMC Vocalists, The Accidentals and Naturals, Nantucket Ballet, and more!

11:45AM Town Crier Rings in Christmas Stroll!
Gather at the Main Street Stage to help our Town Crier ring in the 48th Annual Nantucket Chrismtas Stroll!

12PM – 1PM Santa Claus Comes to Town!
Welcome Santa Clause via his arrival aboard the Coast Guard cutter, and join Santa’s parade as it travels up Main Street and across Centre Street to the NHA Whaling Museum (Santa will be traveling in a vintage fire truck this year!)

1PM – 2PM Meet Santa!
Reconvene at the Discovery Center in the NHA’s Whaling Museum (13 Broad Street) where you can meet & take socially distanced photos with the man himself! Don’t forget your letters to the North Pole, which can be left in the mailbox at the top of Main Street.

3PM Ugly Sweater Contest
Meet at the top of Main Street where honorary judge, Santa Claus, will be giving out the coveted title to the winner of the Ugly Sweater Conest. Sign up from 10:30am to 2:30pm at the Chamber’s merchandise table at the Shop Santa’s Village marketplace.

4:30PM Community Caroling on Main Street
Join our world-renowned Victorian Carolers for a very special sing-along on the steps of Pacific National Bank on Main Street to close out another amazing Christmas Stroll  Saturday on Nantucket.
