Peter Engen

Since joining Lee Real Estate in 2018 and partnering with Bruce Beni in 2020, Peter Engen has quickly established himself as an industry leader in the Nantucket real estate market. In their five years working together, they have eclipsed $500 million in career sales, representing many of the island’s most significant transactions. Peter represented the buyer of 21 Lincoln Avenue, which sold for $36M in 2022, and went on to break the Massachusetts record with the $44M sale of 68 & 72 Monomoy Road in 2023. These milestone sales have been featured in national media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The New York Times, and The Boston Globe.

Peter has called Nantucket home since 2012 and brings a deep appreciation for the island’s neighborhoods, lifestyle, and community. Originally from Wellesley and a graduate of Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, he was also an accomplished skier who competed professionally before settling on Nantucket. Before his real estate career, Peter spent six years managing Straight Wharf Restaurant, one of the island’s best-known institutions, and even landed on the cover of N Magazine after a memorable backflip on the beach.
