Even with summer winding down, there’s no reason to stop enjoying Nantucket’s beautiful beaches. In fact, some would even argue that the slower fall season allows for a more enjoyable beach experience. Without the crowds and the heat, Nantucket’s beaches are the perfect spot for a fall picnic. Grab a basket (or a boat tote!), some of your favorite snacks and drinks, and settle in for one of Nantucket’s infamous sunsets. Our first recommended spot is Cisco Beach, located on the south side of the island. Known for its waves and sunsets, Cisco Beach is a prime spot to dig your toes into the sand and enjoy one of Nantucket’s best views. If you’re looking for a quieter picnic with plenty of privacy, we recommend heading to Siasconset (‘Sconset) for a truly memorable experience. While slightly farther from town, Sconset is one of Nantucket’s most charming neighborhoods and boasts unforgettable sunrises. Our last recommendation is one of Nantucket’s most popular sunset spots: Madaket Beach. Located on the far west side of the island, Madaket Beach offers stellar sunset views.
