Holiday House Tour with FONPS – Supporting Local Students

Who They Are

The Friends of Nantucket Public Schools is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose purpose is to promote quality education for the children of Nantucket’s public schools. Through fundraising efforts (like the Holiday House Tour), community events and enrichment opportunities, FONPS works hard to serve the greatest needs within our school community. FONPS also offers unique opportunities to our students that are not otherwise offered through the school system.

What They Do

FONPS is “more than a PTA”. They provide support for school sponsored programs by helping distribute flyers, co-hosting, and providing refreshments, as well as partnering with other Nantucket businesses to host additional events. The FONPS host fundraising events throughout the year in order to continue these efforts in addition to others.

Events

There are certain events, like the annual Spelling Bee and Holiday House Tour, that the FONPS put on annually. These events in particular are something the community looks forward to participating in every year. Coming up this weekend is the Holiday House Tour. Nothing gets you into the Christmas spirit more than seeing some beautifully decorated homes, followed by a reception at the Whaling Museum! Get your tickets here.
